2014 Primetime Emmy Awards - Red Carpet Favourites

Love seeing what celebs are wearing on the Red Carpet, and the 66th Primetime Emmys did not dissapoint! These are a few of my favourites from the night, you can see the whole coverage at Style.

Sophia Vergara looks like a goddess in this structured Roberto Cavalli gown. I especially love the mermaid skirt and lines on the bodice. Her trademark hourglass shape is accentuated well by the flawless fit.

Halle Berry looks sexy as ever showing of some leg in this high split Elie Saab creation.

What a stunning couple, Matthew McConaughey looks handsome as ever, but Camila Alves steals the limelight in this gorgeous white lace gown by Zuhair Murad.

I'm always a big fan of dramatic, voluminous skirts and am so into two-piece dresses right now. Sarah Hyland looks just lovely in Christian Siriano.

Another high-impact voluminous skirt in the mermaid style, Keke Palmer looks amazing in the royal blue gown by Rubin Singer.

Still love high splits, especially ones that show a textured under-skirt and has sparkles. Kerry Washington looks alluring in Prada.

Mute toned embellished dresses are an all-time favourite and is never out of style. Taylor Schilling looks glamorous in Zuhair Murad Couture, although I do with she chose a bolder lip colour.

This is an interesting Versace creation worn by Gwen Stefani. It has a very modern, sophisticated look about it with metal panel detailing at the bust.

Jessie Denim Play Dress - Street style

Denim basics dominate our wardrobes. After all it is one of the most versatile fabrics ever - durable, comfortable and has been in style since it was first invented. Our personal collection of denim jackets, skirts and jeans is ever-growing, which is why we are super excited to add this gorgeous dress to our range!

For this shoot we have teamed the Jessie Play dress with a cotton tank top and black tights, it is after all still winter-ish The great thing with this dress is it works both in hot and cold weather. It goes great with a printed chiffon shirt underneath, or an off-the-shoulder crop top. There are so many ways you can work with this dress, just embrace the art of layering!

Winter is here - The Basic Sweater

We are well into winter now and even Brisbane actually feels cold. I have noticed on the city streets a lot of dark, boring colours like black and grey, and I long for the return of summer to cheer us all up!

I totally understand, and myself experience the effects of cold weather. The loss of all will to make an effort to dress up and leave the house in anything other than your tracks. I confess that one, I am a wuss when it comes to 'cold' weather, i.e. anything below 18 degrees, this being the result of growing up in weather-perfect-Brisbane; and two, on extra cold days and if my schedule permits (unlikely but sometimes happens) will happily spend my spare time in sweatpants and bed socks sipping cups of hot tea. But that said, most days will require me to put in some effort and dress appropriately to look somewhat decent. So my solution to dressing for winter is effortless, throw on an oversized jumper over however many layers required underneath - it hides it all so well, and squeeze into tight fitting jeans/leggings/tights.

I am really into the contrast look this season, so have picked out these 2 gorgeous pieces that look chic and is perfect for these colder months.

Contrast Striped Jumper - worn with skintight jeans

Black & White loose fit sweater - worn here teamed with washed out denim shorts and studded lace up boots, and with a pair of plain black tights.
